I absolutely love food anime if you couldn't already tell, this has got to be the very pinnacle of all food anime. With a great combination of humor, real aspects of cooking, character development and a great story line this makes for one of the best series that I have ever watched. The fan service can be sort of unnecessary at some points, well at a lot of points, but you stay because of how good the rest of the anime actually is. We follow the story of the protagonist Yukihira Souma who currently works at his family diner with is father, when suddenly out of the blue he is sent to one of the most prestigious culinary schools in japan with no reason from his father. There starts his journey to graduate this program with a passing rate of less than 1%.
